Message from Samantha Gifford.

Hello everyone. I am Samantha Gifford. I have been a registered nurse for the last 11 years. I have worked in the ER at Onslow Memorial Hospital for the last 8 years, in which time I have worked in various roles. I worked as the patient care coordinator for 2 1/2 years. I have been working weekend option for the last 2 years, this has made returning to school possible. The ER has been a challenging place to work with new lessons learned almost everyday. Even after 8 years I find myself in awe with emergency nursing. I have been the secretary for our ENA chapter for the last two years. I have enjoyed that role and hope to continue being an active member for years to come. I am completely overwhelmed right now with all the online classes. I am hoping that it will calm down when my kids go back to school. I have two wonderful children. Zachary 15yrs (who knows everything) and Mikaylay 8yrs (that still thinks mom is cool and fun). I have been married for 10 yrs and believe it or not he still tolerates me. I am hoping to continue through this and go on to getting my FNP.
