Message from Joy

Hello, My name is Martha C. Joy Byrd, I answer to almost anything but most call me Joy. I received my ADN from GTCC which is in Jamestown, NC. I worked for a year at Moses Cone as an orthopedic nurse among working extras on other floors and facilities. I moved to Wilmington to go to work at NHRMC. I work on the pulmonary/oncology/ (newly inpatient hospice) floor which I enjoy very much. This was not my first choice but it has indeed taught me a lot and since I believe all things happen for a good reason, I am happy for the experience. I am a night nurse so most of my posts and work will be completed at night since it is so hard for me to flip my schedule. I enjoy it here in Wilmington and have met a lot of good people. I hope to learn as much as possible and look forward to getting to know all of you better.
